Each local church is being asked to appoint one member as Missions Advocate or Key Worker. This is typically an elected role for promoting missions and being primary contact for the Missionary Society in your congregation.
The Missionary Society since 1842 has been coordinating and carrying out ministries taking the Gospel of Christ throughout the world with the support and partnership of our conference churches.
Ideally, the aim is to have one Missions Advocate in every church. The more churches with Advocates, the greater our potential to share mission opportunities. If someone is already in place for your church please support them in this ministry. If not we encourage that it be considered by your group.
Be a Missions Advocate – Promote the work or missions in your church.
“For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” Galatians 5:13
