Taylors Prepare for 5th Ministry Visit to Brazil (Fall 2015)

Good Morning from Bowie, MD;

In January 2009, Margaret and I made our first trip to Brazil. During those 11 days, I had the joy of speaking to pastors and leaders during their Brazilian SDB Conference sessions, and then we took the opportunity to visit with pastors and their churches in their own towns and cities.

In November of 2009, we returned to Brazil for 13 days to help their SDB Conference finalize plans for the T.I.M.E. (Training in Ministry by Extension) Program, which was to begin in February 2010. We also visited a number of churches and pastors, desiring to encourage them in their work. It also gave us an opportunity to once again experience Brazilian culture.

We were invited to return for their 2011 Conference sessions. Besides attending Conference, we traveled extensively, visiting a number of churches, preaching some 19 times in 23 days. We covered some 3000 km’s and were privileged to be first-time American visitors in 5 churches.

On February 1, 2014, I was privileged to be the speaker at the first T.I.M.E. Graduation held in Curitiba. In addition, during 21 days there, we visited 11 churches and I preached 13 times.

In the fall of this year we will be returning to Brazil for our 5th time.   Our tentative schedule has us there for several weeks and visiting and/or speaking and leading worship at SDB churches in Joinville, Bocaiúva do Sul, Araucária, Canoinhas, Porto União, Cunha Porã, Santo Antonio, Cunha Porã, Dois Vizinhos, Cascavel, Palmitinho, Vitória, Piabanha, Limoeiro, and participating in a TIME Graduation at Ipanema SDB Church.

I am grateful to the Central SDB Church for allowing me the time to return to Brazil.  They have always supported our mission there and have adopted the Brazilian SDB Conference as a partner in ministry.

We, first of all, seek your prayers as we prepare for this trip. If you feel so led, we would also appreciate your financial support. Checks marked for “Taylor – Brazil 2015” should be sent to:

We thank God for what He is doing in Brazil. It is exciting to see God working in and through Seventh Day Baptists there.

Peace & Blessings, Pastor David & Margaret Taylor
