Spirit of Cooperation in the Caribbean

The sister conferences of Jamaica and Guyana are forging a closer relationship and are welcoming a new group of neighboring believers.

This year the Cayman Islands SDB group was launched with hopes of developing a church within the next two years.

In June, Carlton Ferguson presided over the launching ceremony and conducted a church planting seminar with Carlton Ferguson.  Hurley Taylor, chairperson of the Jamaican Evangelism Committee traveled to the group in September to conduct a seminar on SDB polity, beliefs, and history.

Another visit is scheduled for November led by Garfield Miller and will be focusing on the topic of evangelism.

The Jamaican and Guyana Conferences have sent multiple representatives to each other, including a few to attend the Annual Conference meetings. Next year, Jamaica SDB Conference celebrates 90 years of ministry and is expecting their brethren from Guyana and the Cayman Islands to be in attendance. Please, keep our brothers and sisters in prayer as they unite to bring glory to God in this region.
