The following is a letter the Society received from South Sudan after we sent funds from donations for disaster relief:
Dear Clinton R. Brown,
Subject: South Sudan relief report
I am please to send you a report on the funds that you send as hunger and war relief to south Sudan and we have received an amount of 28,600SSP which is 235usd.
The relief has helped the starving SDBs in juba and the beneficiaries are sending you this appreciation and thanks for your continued support and your acts of unselfishness and care through the donation you are sending which has supported us during this difficult time of our lives in south Sudan.
With the funds received we were able to afford the following food items and we distributed them to group of orphans, the elderly, windows and other vulnerable families
- 15 bags of maize flour =22,500ssp (185 USD)
- 10kgs of salt = 2,500ssp (18.50 USD)
- Transportation cost =2,000ssp (16 USD)
The photos during the distribution of these items are attached together with a copy of a receipt for purchasing the 15 bags of maize flour to act as an evidence of how these funds were used and delivered.
May lord almighty continue to bless you and the donors for your act of charity towards your fellow brothers and sisters in south Sudan and the SDB church here?
Yours sincerely, Pastor Joseph Jada Wani May 18, 2017
The Society passes this letter of report/gratitude to donors of the SDB US and Canada Conference, who made this possible. We thank you too.
