Two well-needed meeting houses are being constructed by the Burundi SDB Conference for their brethren in Rugeregere and Rwestero. The walls of these churches are already erected of clay bricks and now assistance of $1,610 is being solicited for iron-sheet roofing.
This building project is an effort to make SDB meeting houses in Burundi more suitable and to standard. Although there are many houses there with grass roofs, the Burundi government presently prohibits grass roofing on houses and other buildings, including churches.
SUPPORT FOR THIS PROJECT – The board of the SDB Missionary Society has agreed to partner with the Burundi Conference for this venture and is looking for persons to come onboard to help make this project a success. Meeting houses with good structures and roofing will also provide permanent places for ministry and give recognition to their Conference.
