The Missionary Society received word from Liberia SDB Churches that an SDB Congregation was a part of a community comprising of over one hundred and fifty thousands (150,000) persons that was destroyed leaving them homeless. It was further explained that the government of Liberia destroyed this community to implement development in said area, with what appear to be little or no consideration for the people who occupied the land.
“One of our SDB Churches of 80 members was located in this community. The Pastor & family, including the 80 members are homeless, and no Food. Not only our SDB members, but (other) churches were located in the area, and citizens of Liberia. SDBs around the World, we need your prayers and help of all kinds for our SDB Brothers and Sisters who are caught in this very ugly situation.” – Dr. Josiah K. Pah, Sr. (Liberia SDB Conference)
