Potable Water in Akayange, Rwanda

06/01/2016

20160601RwandaPicSDBs in Akayange, Rwanda are now celebrating their newly commissioned water well, to provide them and their immediate neighbors with drinkable water.

In 2015, due to the lack of uncontaminated water in Akayange village, the SDB churches in Rwanda sought partnerships to providing a water well.  There were some delays including increased costs, but through collaboration with SDBs in the US and Canada Conference the total cost was realized, with nearly $600 USD coming from Rwandan SDB members.

Although we had a lot of complications in this project, we thank so much our Savior to seeing our brothers and their neighbors enjoying the result of your efforts (support).
– Jean de Dieu KARIMUTUMYE, SDB Rwanda.

Because of support, the lives of SDBs in Akayange and people in the surrounding area will be improved and it is expected that the Church will be seen as a friend of the community.

“Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.” – Isaiah 12:3
