We are pleased to share that Seventh Day Baptist congregations around the globe are involved in or planning for constructing physical facilities for ministry services. In some countries, like Chile, Ethiopia, and South Sudan, new SDB groups are trying to evaluate what they need for culturally appropriate places to gather for worship. In more established SDB conferences, like Malawi and Brazil, they are constructing conference offices, schools, clinics, parsonages, or branch church buildings.
Working to partner with these SDB ministries, we try to help them take stock of the resources they already have as blessings, identify how other conferences may be able to assist, and rely on God to direct the work and show us His kind mercies when unforeseen challenges occur.
Burundi and Ghana are currently facing a common construction challenge. They have the means and manpower to build to the roof level, but buying quality corrugated metal for a lasting roof is where they need some help. Both have sent photos; and Ghana their budget and plans for their new facility. They have each asked if we can pray about helping complete these undertakings.
