Father and daughter, Luiz and Cristiane Miranda, Brazilian SDBs, are organizing a music missions trip to Malawi. Music is very integral to the worship of Africans and so the plan is to teach 30 Malawian youths music theory & the skills to play different instruments. Students would then form solid Music Ministry Teams, able to lead worship and lead a music school for future training programs.
They are seeking financial assistance, particularly for instruments, prayer support, and are calling for additional trainers from the USA or any other country to join the mission to Malawi, Aug 7 – Sep 25, 2017. Instruments they are hoping to get and associated costs include: Recorders $8, Flute $240, Keyboard; $800, Electric Guitar; $206, Bass Guitar; $266, Alto Sax; $400 and Cajón (Bongo) $114. There is also the need for complementary equipment such as amplifier, microphone and mixer.
