India SDBs revisit Myanmar (Zoland)

Burmese immigrants in India, with support from our Milton, WI SDB Church, reached back for the lost in  the remote village    of Zoland, Myanmar Dec 10-16, 2017. The trip was successful in sharing the Gospel, providing needed food items and beginning to gather information for the establishment of a permanent evangelical SDB congregation in that community.

It was reported that the team had to travel approximately 300km to Zoland, where the people are primarily Bamar (dominant ethnic group in Myanmar), but has a variety of cultures. Many are of the Pyu culture, having adopted forms of Buddhism from ancient Indian influences or traditional religion idol worship. They also found that there were some Christians in the area which may be helpful in establishing long term ministry work, but no permanent Christian meeting houses have been constructed yet. They request we pray for the people of Zoland for continued fruits from the missions trip.

We are thankful that we can give the Mission trip to Zoland…with your prayers and with the Church who support us – Rev. Pauhaang Tombing, SDB Kanan, Manipur-India.
