Our Brethren in Tanzania are experiencing great challenges in finding food to survive. They have been finding creative ways to keep themselves alive, such as sharing what they have and empowering their brethren with skills that they can earn from. The letter below from the Tanzanian SDB Conference is testimony of the far reaching effect of your support, through the SDB Missionary Society:
“May I share with you this testimony at Mkula SDB church community, one of Hunger relief beneficiaries Mariana ( 9 years) sickly since birth and kept by parents in a back room believing there is no cure for her, was recently diagnosed of lack of Vitamin A and c in a diet that merely made her exist. She suffered isolation in the Darkness of her room until pastor Cosmas came around and asked parents to take Mariana to our SDB nursery school.
As a matter of coincidence, SDBMS Hunger relief made Provisions for supper Flour Porridge FOR THE FATEFUL GIRL, Grain/corn and vegetable from irrigation project were handed out to the family. Mariana experienced speedy recovery and is now in stable health, and the whole family is actively in the church.
A PHYSICIAN at Mkula Hospital attested that her body fats, muscles and tissues were being burned up. Carbohydrates for brain up keep were being eaten up, her body defends were down and multiple Disease attacks would have claimed her life.
Without the Help of kind hearted people, through SDBMS, Mariana would have been ”a Gone case”
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,” (Mathew 25: 34-35)
May God richly bless you, Pastor R. Ryakitimbo, Tanzania SDB Conference
